Paull Seixas was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1941. He started making music in the early 1960s with a band called Os Iguais, which included Zé Rodrix and Edson Cordeiro. His solo album 'Fuzil Não É Pão' came out in 1969, and the title track became well-known in Brazilian counterculture circles.
He was arrested and imprisoned in 1973. Despite this, he kept recording and performing, with albums like 'Gita' in 1974 and 'Movimento' in 1985.
Some of his other songs include 'A Pátria de Já-ir,' 'Fiz Um Samba de Uma Nota Só,' and 'Placebo Patriota.' He worked with various musicians over time, including Sérgio Dias from Os Mutantes. Seixas died in 2011.
