Paullo Costa became known as the "Gauchão da Internet" after a song of that name he recorded with João Luiz Correa, Gaudêncio, and Leo -O Gauchão De Apartamento. That track, along with others like "Isto É Rio Grande" and "Sou Colono e Não Mudo," helped define his sound, which draws from sertanejo and gaucho traditions.
In 2007, he released his debut album, "O Gaucho da Internet." He followed it with records like "Vida Boa" in 2009 and "Só Pra Beber" in 2011. Costa also sings with the band Astral and has worked with collaborators like João Luiz Correa and Gaudêncio on various projects.
A song called "Telefonou pra Santo" from around 2008 drew some criticism and was reportedly kept off certain radio stations. Costa kept recording through that period, putting out albums like "Saudade de Você" in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
