Paullo Sérgio grew up in the Irajá neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. He started writing songs early, drawing from gospel, samba, and Brazilian Popular Music. His debut album 'Guia-me' came out in 2005, and its title track became a hit.
His music often mixes gospel with pop and Latin sounds. Songs like 'Com Teu Poder' and 'Dependente' show his focus on themes of faith and hope. He's mentioned Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin, and Alceu Valença as influences.
After 'Guia-me', he released several more albums including 'O Chamado' in 2007, 'A Fé Move Montanhas' in 2009, and 'Deus Reina' in 2019.
