Paulo Franchinni was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1965. He started his career in the late 1980s as part of the band 14 Bis before going solo.
His 1992 debut solo album included the song "Família," which became a hit across Brazil. In 1995, he faced plagiarism allegations over that song, though they were eventually dismissed.
Franchinni kept recording through the 1990s and 2000s, putting out albums like "Terra Brasilis" in 1998 and "Na Pele dos Anjos" in 2002. He has worked with other Brazilian musicians including Marisa Monte, Caetano Veloso, and Carlinhos Brown.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
