Paulo Miklos was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1959 and started playing in local bands as a drummer and vocalist. In 1982, he co-founded the rock band Titâs with Sérgio Brito, Tony Bellotto, Arnaldo Antunes, and Marcelo Fromer. The band became known for mixing punk, funk, and Brazilian folk sounds.
After leaving Titâs in 1995, Miklos began a solo career. His first album came out in 1997, titled after the song "Vou Te Encontrar." That track became a well-known ballad about love and loss. Other songs like "Um Sopro" and "A Mesma Praça" show his range across different rhythms and moods.
Miklos has been outspoken about social issues and progressive causes throughout his work, which has sometimes drawn attention. His music tends to explore everyday themes through a mix of styles, with his drumming and vocal delivery giving it a direct, personal feel.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
