Paulo Netto started playing music in São Paulo, Brazil, where he grew up listening to samba and sertanejo. He eventually formed a band with some friends who shared his interest in those sounds.
Their debut album was called "Eu Vou Tirar Você Desse Lugar," which became popular in Brazil. The songwriting on that record and others like it tended to be direct and sometimes touched on social themes.
Over time, different musicians have played in the band. Ricardo Garcia on bass and Felipe Martins on guitar were among the regular members during certain periods.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
