Pay Money To My Pain formed in 2004 with vocalist K, guitarist Akira, bassist T$UYO$HI, and drummer ZAX. Their first album came out in 2006, followed by records like 'After You Wake Up' in 2009 and 'Gene' in 2011. The band's sound mixed melodic hard rock with metal, and later added touches of progressive rock and electronica.

In 2013 they released 'Weight of My Pride,' which included the title track and a ballad called 'Hikari.' Other songs in their catalog include 'Bury,' 'Voice' featuring Taka from One Ok Rock, 'Home,' and 'Lost the voice.'

K handled vocals and wrote lyrics that often dealt with identity and struggle. The band developed a following in Japan's metal scene before ending in 2018 after K's death from an accidental overdose.
