Pé Daalemmer & Rooie Rinus were a Dutch folk duo who started working together in the late 1970s. Pé Daalemmer sang and played guitar, while Rooie Rinus handled accordion. They put out their first album in 1978, simply titled after themselves.
Their best-known song is "Afscheidslied (loeks)," a ballad about saying goodbye. In 1980 they released an album called "Ongerôk" that dealt with political topics like unemployment, which shifted their sound and audience. They followed it with records like "De Moker" in 1982 and "De Lente" in 1984.
The group included bassist Herman van der Zee and drummer Fred Geurink alongside the two namesakes. They kept recording through the mid-1980s, with "'t Verhaal van Pé & Rooie" arriving in 1986.
