Archive material and source history
Pé de Cabra formed in 2004 in Belém do Pará with Daniel Coimbra on vocals and guitar, Danilo Silva on guitar, Fábio Elias on bass, and Alex Magno on drums. Their early years involved the kind of financial struggles common to many young bands trying to make it work.
They released their debut album, 'Canção pra te Encontrar,' in 2008. The single 'Alma Gêmea' from that album became a hit, helping them find a wider audience. They've since put out several more albums, including 'Na Contramão' in 2011, 'Sonho Real' in 2014, 'Segue o Fluxo' in 2017, and 'Livre' in 2021.
In 2012, the band faced plagiarism accusations over a melody, which were later dismissed. The lineup has shifted over time, with drummer Alex Magno departing in 2016.
