Archive material and source history

Pê Haggá is a Brazilian band that formed around 2005. Their first album came out that year, followed by others like 'Transpiração Contínua Prolongada' in 2007 and 'Santa Clara' in 2009. The group includes Pedro Luís, Rogério Flausino, Marcelo Jeneci, André Gonzales, and Yuri Vianna.

Their music pulls from samba, reggae, and MPB, but they've never fit neatly into one category. Some of their songs, like 'Boy Particular' and 'Comendo Solta', became well-known. 'Boy Particular' in particular drew attention for its lyrics about same-sex desire, which sparked debate at the time.

They kept releasing albums through 2015's 'As Músicas que Você Não Ouviu'. Their work sometimes touches on social themes, but mostly they're known for a sound that feels both familiar and slightly off-center, built around those five voices and instruments.
