Pecos & The Rooftops are an Austin-based folk-rock band that started around 2010, originally called the Pecos Hurley Band. Their debut album 'Release Me' came out in 2011 and included the song 'This Damn Song,' which got some attention for its moody, reflective quality.
They've put out a few albums since then, including 'Nice to Meet You' in 2016, 'The Empire' in 2018, and 'Lost on the Moon' in 2021. The band is led by Pecos Hurley on vocals and guitar, with Seth Holloway on guitar and vocals, Andy Ramirez on bass, and Matthew Vasquez on drums.
There was a period where Hurley had some legal trouble in 2015, which affected their shows for a while. The music on 'Nice to Meet You' seemed to touch on some of that experience, but they kept working.
