Pedro Khima formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2010, led by singer and guitarist Pedro Henrique Novaes da Silva. The group includes Frederico Ferreira on guitar, Rodrigo Campello on bass, Bruno Morais on drums, and João Lenhari on percussion.
Their song "Da-me Sede" became a notable early release, a ballad that caught attention in Brazil. Other tracks like "Eu Sou Assim" and "Refúgio" appear in their catalog.
They put out a self-titled debut album in 2012, followed by "O Mundo Que Quero Ver" in 2015 and "Sol de Amar" in 2019. Their music draws from samba and Brazilian folk sounds.
Some of their lyrics and social commentary have sparked discussion, though they kept performing and recording through the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
