Pedro Rhuas came up in São Paulo, where he started out busking on the streets. His first single, "Tocando o Coração," came out in 2012 and got some attention. He's put out a few albums since then, like Caminho in 2014, Luz in 2017, and Respira in 2020.
His songs tend to be straightforward pop with some Brazilian folk touches. You can hear it in tracks like "Nosso Final Feliz" and "Máquina do Tempo." He's worked with other artists here and there, including Caetano Veloso and Anavitória.
He plays with a band that includes Fernando Nunes on guitar, Marcelo Rabal on bass, Thiago Barbosa on drums, and Juliana Castro on backing vocals. They keep things pretty simple and direct.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
