Pentagrama formed in 1987 with guitarist Sergio Arau and bassist Paco Barrios "El Mastuerzo" at the core. They added vocalist Juan Carlos Novelo and drummer Enrique "Queco" Nava and put out their first album, "Reflejos del Miedo," in 1991. Their sound was raw and drew a cult following in Mexico.
Songs like "A Cada Despedida" and "A Brisa Que Te Traz" became staples for their fans.
Arau and Barrios have been the consistent members through various lineup changes over time. The band's later work includes albums such as "El Reino del Ego" from 1998 and "La Ley del Caníbal" from 2003.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
