Pequenos Visitantes formed in São Paulo in 1986 with vocalist André Abujamra, guitarist Júlio Barroso, bassist Lucio Maia, drummer Vinicius Cantuária, and keyboardist Renato Rizzo. Their debut album 'Arco Íris na Pista' came out the following year, with the title track becoming one of their most recognizable songs.
They released several albums through the late 80s and early 90s, including 'Tanta Gente' in 1988 and 'Palavras' in 1991. Their self-titled album from 1994 showed them moving toward more experimental territory. Songs like 'Assuste As Minhas Lembranças' and 'Homem de Aço' remain part of their catalog.
The group's sound drew from Brazilian popular music alongside jazz and rock elements. They were active through the mid-90s, though the existing record of their later years is incomplete.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
