Pequi com Leite formed in 2011 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with Bruno Maia on vocals and guitar, Bê on bass and vocals, and Jorginho on drums. Their early sound mixed rock and roll with Brazilian popular music, and they gained attention with the single "Você diz que eu não presto." That song and others like "Acender o Forró" and "Adolescência" became part of their repertoire.
Their debut album "Nós não fazemos música pra você ouvir sentado" came out in 2013. They followed it with "Balada do homem comum" in 2016 and "Ponto de vista" in 2019, which brought in elements of reggae, funk, and Brazilian folk. The band's lyrics often dealt with sexual themes and social issues, which drew both fans and criticism.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
