Peterson Stein formed in Joinville, Brazil in 2000. The band's original lineup included Peterson on vocals, brothers Pedro and André Branco on guitars, Marcelo Carvalho on bass, and Marcio Cardoso on drums. They released their debut album 'Eu Vou Continuar' in 2003, with the title track becoming a hit that helped establish their national presence.
In 2005, guitarist Pedro Branco left the band for personal reasons. The group continued recording, putting out albums like 'Na Sua Vez' in 2006 and 'Um Novo Tempo' in 2008. Their songs 'Meu Deus' and 'Tudo Parece Acabado' also found an audience among Brazilian pop-rock listeners.
The band eventually resolved the issue and kept working, releasing '10 Anos' in 2010.
