A 2000s band that made straightforward songs about relationships and sexuality.
If you want their signature sound, "Me And You Together (Explicit)" is where it started. For something later, try "Ventriloquist".
Their breakout single "Me And You Together (Explicit)" landed in 2005 with lyrics about female sexuality that some found refreshing and others called vulgar. That directness carried through songs like "Ventriloquist" and "Good Bye (I Wanna Be Like You)", mixing pop and hip-hop with plainspoken themes. They weren't subtle, and that was the point.
P.H. (Pop) formed in the early 2000s with Penelope Hart on vocals, Harrison James on guitar, Oliver Reed on bass, and Max Smith on drums. After their 2005 breakout, they released the album "Unleashed" and kept going until around 2010.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
