Philmont is an indie-folk quartet from Nashville. The band includes Bryan Simpson on lead vocals and guitar, Cameron Wisch on bass, Aidan Moore on drums, and Adam Buhrman, who played multiple instruments before leaving in 2019. They've released albums like their self-titled debut in 2012, All the Way to California in 2015, The Smell of the Sun in 2018, and Present Company in 2021.
Their song Another Name came out in 2015 and got some attention. It's one of their tracks along with My Hippocratic Oath and Back Down. In 2017, there was some talk about plagiarism related to a song on The Smell of the Sun, but it didn't go anywhere. After Buhrman's departure, they kept going with help from guest musicians.
