Pitty

Pitty is a Brazilian rock band formed in 2003 around singer-songwriter Priscilla Novaes Leoni, who goes by the same name. The original lineup included guitarist Peu Sousa, bassist Joe Gomes, and drummer Duda Machado. Their debut album 'Admirável Chip Novo' came out that same year and established their sound with songs like 'Digging The Grave' and 'Eu Quero Sempre Mais.'

Her lyrics often dealt with rebellion and personal struggle, which connected with younger listeners in Brazil. The band's straightforward rock approach and Pitty's direct vocal delivery gave their music an immediate quality that felt grounded rather than theatrical.

Over time, the group experienced lineup changes, with Pitty and Sousa being the consistent members through multiple albums. They've released eight studio records to date, including tracks like 'De Você' and 'Emboscada' that maintained their core sound while allowing for some evolution in production and arrangement.

Their live performances became a notable part of their reputation, with the concert recording 'Semana Que Vem (ao vivo)' capturing the energy of their shows. The music doesn't try to reinvent rock conventions so much as deliver them with conviction and clarity.
