Place Vendôme formed in 1998 with David Hallyday on vocals, the son of French rock figure Johnny Hallyday. Their self-titled debut came out the following year, featuring the track "I Will Be Waiting." The band included guitarists Yarol Poupaud and Jean-Pierre Kalfon, bassist Loïc Pontieux, drummer Laurent Vernerey, and keyboardist Olivier Schultheis.
They put out a second album called "Close to You" in 2003. Later records like "3" in 2007 and "Exit" in 2011 showed the group working with different sounds. Other songs from their catalog include "Talk To Me," "Cross The Line," "Heavens Door," and "A Scene In Replay."
