Planetario formed in Metepec, Mexico in 2011 as a quartet of childhood friends. The group includes brothers Fernando and Sebastian Huerta along with Luisah Serrano and Manuel Calderon. They started playing together with what they described as ethereal soundscapes and introspective lyrics.
In 2018, they released "Mapas," a song that gained significant attention. The track's melodies and lyrics about love, loss, and finding one's place connected with listeners. It became their most recognized work.
