Plano Próximo

Plano Próximo is a Brazilian band with Rodrigo Tavares on vocals, João Pedro Fonseca on bass, and Lucas Campos on guitar. Their debut album 'Singular' came out in 2016 and included the song 'A Queda,' which became their breakout single. They followed it with 'Ciclos' in 2018, a live album in 2020, and 'Em Transe' in 2022.

Their songs like 'A Queda,' 'Doce vida,' and 'Eu só queria conhecer seu cachorro' often lean toward melancholic or introspective moods. Some early listeners found their tone too pessimistic, but the band kept writing what felt authentic to them. In 2018, a track called 'O Fim do Mundo' was read by some as political commentary, though Plano Próximo said that wasn't their explicit intent.

Lucas Campos handles production and brings experimental touches to their arrangements, while João Pedro Fonseca's bass lines give the music a groove. They don't fit neatly into one genre, but their sound has stayed grounded in personal lyrics and melodic textures across those four albums.
