Am I wrong to assume every woman is just like you?

You fall in love so you can wear a dress,

You wed to ensure your peers are impressed.

But I am wrong if I say "I do". I'd be lying to you.

I'm bored with your friends and sick of your moods,

I'm tired of selling "I love you too".

I am wrong.

Am I wrong if I lose my faith?

If I forget about and miss your birthday?

You're a dead-end job I hate,

A dingy apartment I can't afford to pay,

I am wrong, but when I get home

I know exactly what I'm going to do,

I'll say "mom, I know life is hard,

but I love you and I know dad loves you too"

I can't be wrong.

Am I wrong if I stretch the truth?

Can we just go back to what we're used to?
