Poema formed in Poland in 1992, with Wojciech Mazolewski on vocals and Adam Rozenbach on guitar. Their debut album 'Let's Make Love' came out the following year. The band's second album, 'Love of My Life', arrived in 1994 and gave them their biggest hit with the title track.
They released several more albums through the 1990s and early 2000s, including '4' in 1996, 'Peace' in 1998, and 'Believe' in 2001. Other songs like '2 AM' and 'Echo off the sky' also appeared in their catalog. The group's lineup included Grzegorz Markowski on bass and Andrzej Niewiński on drums alongside Mazolewski and Rozenbach.
Poema put out a compilation called 'The Best of Poema' in 2003 and a later studio album titled 'Rebirth' in 2008. Their music drew from rock and pop with some progressive touches, and they worked in a collaborative way that often involved improvisation.
