Polish Folk formed in the 1980s around vocalist and accordionist Zbigniew Namysłowski, with violinist Ryszard Stypa, bassist Andrzej Bańkowski, and drummer Kazimierz Jonczy. They worked with traditional Polish songs, sometimes drawing criticism for how they arranged them with modern instruments.
Their 1989 album 'Czerwone Jagody' gave them a recognizable song by that name. They also released 'Polska Muzyka Ludowa' in 1994 and a hits collection called 'Złote Przeboje' in 2003.
