His name became more widely known through his writing and vocal work with Justin Bieber, including on the track 'Hard 2 Face Reality'.
He has written for and collaborated with a range of other pop and R&B artists. Some of his own released songs include 'Two Commas' and 'Perdido' with J Balvin. His writing tends to focus on personal themes, delivered with a soulful vocal style.
In 2014, he was involved in a legal dispute with his former label, Interscope Records. He has continued to release his own material and work with other artists since.
