Poo Bear is Jason Boyd, a songwriter and vocalist from California who first worked in the late 1990s as part of the hip-hop group The Underdogs. He put out his debut solo album 'A Nice Guy' in 2010. His name became more widely known through his writing and vocal work with Justin Bieber, including on the track 'Hard 2 Face Reality'.
He has written for and collaborated with a range of other pop and R&B artists. Some of his own released songs include 'Two Commas' and 'Perdido' with J Balvin. His writing tends to focus on personal themes, delivered with a soulful vocal style.
In 2014, he was involved in a legal dispute with his former label, Interscope Records. He has continued to release his own material and work with other artists since.
