Power Trio was a rock band with Marco Martínez on guitar and vocals, Pedro Gutiérrez on bass, and Luis Herrera on drums. They put out their first album in 1975, which included the song "Un Buen Viaje."
That debut record got some attention internationally. They followed it with a few more albums over the next decade or so, like 1978's Metamorphosis and 1982's Revolución. Their music sometimes mixed rock with other sounds, and their lyrics could touch on social themes.
They weren't always an easy fit for the mainstream. Some found their style or subject matter unconventional. They released what was described as a farewell album in 1989.
