Prekoz

Prekoz formed in Vigo, Galicia in 2000, with Pablo Novoa on vocals and guitar, Jorge Cebeiro on bass, and Iván Santos on drums. They started playing local bars and clubs, building a sound that mixed alternative rock with punk and indie elements. Their song 'Un par de minutos al Sol' became a touchstone for listeners, a straightforward rock track that resonated without much industry backing.

They've put out four studio albums, starting with 'Un instante en el tiempo' in 2004 and most recently 'Somos lo que hacemos' in 2017. The lineup has shifted some, with Fran J. González joining on guitar at some point. Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for how they handled certain subjects, but that never seemed to slow them down much.

Prekoz kept at it through the 2000s and 2010s, working mostly through live shows and word of mouth rather than major label machinery. They built a following that stuck with them, people who connected with the directness in songs like 'Un par de minutos al Sol'.
