Prellude formed in Porto Alegre in 1999. Their 2004 debut album, also called 'Estrada do Rock,' gave them a national hit with the title track. The band's lineup included Ricardo Gasparetto on vocals and guitar, Fernando Magalhães on lead guitar, Marcelo Scheffer on bass, and Felipe Andreoli on drums.
They followed up with albums like 'Heróis do Rock' in 2007 and 'A Volta dos Que Não Foram' in 2009. In 2011, they recorded an acoustic session for MTV. Fernando Magalhães left the group in 2014, after their 2013 album 'Resgate' came out.
Songs like 'Máquina do Tempo' and 'Sentença Motriz' show the kind of straightforward rock they were known for. They kept playing shows and putting out records through the 2000s and into the 2010s.
