Primal Dawn formed in Finland in 1997, with Jani Mykkänen on vocals and Kari Kiviniemi on guitars. Their debut album 'Aetherial' came out in 1999, and they kept releasing records through the 2000s, including 'Nemesis' in 2001 and 'Vows of Vengeance' in 2003.
In 2005 they put out 'Reap the Chosen,' which includes the track 'Wrath of the Righteous.' The band's catalog also shows 'In Somnia' from 2007 and 'And the Darkness Came' from 2011.
