Prodigios Mc's

Prodigios MC's formed in Puerto Rico in the early 2000s, with Mundo, El Kanka, and Alex coming together around hip-hop and reggaeton rhythms. They were trying to reach younger listeners who didn't connect with traditional church music, using beats and flows that felt familiar from the secular scene.

Their song "Toda Honra" became something of an anthem in Christian circles, crossing language barriers. They also worked with artists like Redimi2 and Vico C, which helped spread their sound beyond their initial audience.

Some in both religious and secular communities were skeptical of their approach at first, questioning whether hip-hop beats belonged in gospel music. They kept at it, building a catalog that included tracks like "Arena do Flow" alongside their more worship-oriented material.
