Prysma formed in Naples in the early 2000s around frontman Gerlando Genuardi and bassist Andrea Lamberti, later adding guitarist Vincenzo Incenzo and drummer Gianluca Valente. Their debut single "Sempre" came out in 2014 and became a hit in Italy, establishing them with a straightforward pop-rock sound that leaned toward soulful melodies. They followed with a second album called "L'Uomo Senza Coraggio" that incorporated some electronic elements.
Valente left the band in 2018 and was replaced by Francesco Marziani. In 2019, Genuardi faced sexual harassment allegations from a fan, which led to a temporary suspension of the band's activities. Genuardi denied the accusations at the time.
Their songs include "Câmera Lenta," "Labirinto," "Santa Vingança," and "Alguém Como Você."
