Psapp is a duo from Brighton, England, formed by Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant. They started putting out records in the early 2000s, with albums like 'Tiger, My Friend' in 2004 and 'The Only Thing I Ever Wanted' in 2006. Their sound is a quiet mix of electronics and acoustic instruments, with Durant's vocals often floating over Clasmann's production.

Songs like 'Who Knows My Ohs' and 'Dad's Breakdown' show their approach: melodic, a little off-kilter, and built from layered sounds rather than traditional song structures. They've never really fit into one genre, which made them hard to market but earned them a dedicated listenership. In 2006, they dealt with some accusations about a melody resembling a traditional folk song, which they addressed and moved past.
