Michael Geier performs as Puddles Pity Party, a sad clown who sings. He started doing this after trying it at a karaoke night, wearing the costume while singing emotional songs. The contrast between the clown's appearance and the serious music created something people noticed.

He's recorded albums like 'Existential Crisis' and 'Pinocchio's Revenge.' His version of Lorde's 'Team' became particularly well-known. Other songs in his set include 'Hallelujah' and 'I (Who Have Nothing),' which he delivers in that distinctive deep voice while dressed as the melancholy clown.

Some people thought the concept was just a gimmick when he began. He kept doing it anyway. The act is essentially Geier alone in the costume, singing covers that range from rock to country ballads with a straightforward, somber delivery.
