Pupajim was an electro-pop duo from London that started in the early 2000s. Sarah Jones handled vocals and keyboards while Michael James played guitar, bass, and did programming. Their first album, Travelling, came out in 2004 and gave them a recognizable sound built around atmospheric electronics and Jones's voice.
They put out three more records after that: Tusk in 2006, The Longwave EP in 2008, and III in 2010. The music got darker and more experimental as they went, moving away from the straightforward pop of songs like Business Of War or Dancehall Scientist.
By 2010, they had stopped releasing new material. Their catalog is small but specific, four releases over six years that trace a shift from clean electronic pop toward something more unsettled and interior.
