Archive material and source history
Pura Timidez formed in Santos in the late 1980s, started by friends Marcos Maynard, Rodrigo Santos, and Adriano Silva. They played local bars and clubs before signing with RCA Records in 1992. Their debut album came out that same year, featuring the single "Larga Ele e Vem Ficar Comigo," which became a hit in Brazil.
Marcos Maynard left the band in 1996, and Daniel Gonzaga joined as the new vocalist. They kept recording through the late 1990s and early 2000s, putting out albums like "Flores do Mal" and "O Amor Não É Um Crime." Other songs from their catalog include "Lembranças de Você" and "Morreu o nosso amor."
They were a pop band from Santos that had some success in the 1990s with straightforward love songs and melodic arrangements. The group's original lineup changed after a few years, but they continued making music into the 2000s.
