Pylla C14

Pylla C14 formed in Maputo, Mozambique in 2005, with members including Mc Roger, Mc Big, and DJ Mr. F. They started playing local events, and their music connected with young listeners who recognized their own experiences in songs about poverty and inequality.

In 2007, their single "Na Real" became widely popular across the country. The track's direct lyrics about social conditions drew attention from authorities, leading to performance bans and censorship attempts. Rather than quiet down, the group kept writing material that spoke to everyday struggles.

They released albums like "Luz do Mundo" in 2009 and "Mutuza" in 2012, mixing Mozambican rhythms with hip-hop and reggae. Another song, "Novo Romântico," shows their range. While they've worked with artists like Wizkid and Burna Boy, their focus has stayed on local issues, making their music a reference point for many in Mozambique.
