Pynch is a London-based band led by vocalist and songwriter Sarah Jane Perry. They released their debut EP 'Ethereal' in 2011, which drew some attention for its atmospheric quality. The group formed with bassist Tom Chapman, guitarist Chris Telfer, and drummer Jake Smith.
Their first full album 'Nocturnal' came out in 2013 and included the song 'Somebody Else.' That track became their most recognizable work, reaching a wider audience than their earlier material. The album had a dreamy, introspective sound that became associated with the band.
After 'Nocturnal,' Pynch put out 'Celestial' in 2015 and 'Aether' in 2017. These records continued working with similar themes and textures, maintaining the moody atmosphere that characterized their music.
