In 1997, they released their debut single "18 Degrees," which became their breakout track. It reached the UK Singles Chart top 10 and earned them a BRIT Awards nomination. The song's melodic hook and introspective lyrics connected with listeners and defined their early sound.
Their debut album "Beautiful Noise" followed in 1998, showing a range from pop ballads to rock anthems.
