Q-Unique formed in New York City in the late 1980s, with members including Teflon on vocals and production, Fusion as another MC, and DJs Smooth and Budda. Their debut album came out in 1991, followed by records like 'Skydiver' in 1994 and 'The Chemistry' in 1996.
Their song 'Broken Man' appeared on the 'Skydiver' album and became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs in their catalog include 'Father's Day,' 'Nature Of The Beast,' and 'Psychological Warfare.'
Some of their material drew attention for its direct lyrics about urban life and personal struggles. They kept recording into the 2000s with albums like 'Where Are We Now?' in 2000.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
