QGC was a four-piece band with Zach Quinn on vocals and guitar, Gabby Cappelli on keyboards, Charlie Garcia on bass, and Dylan Masterson on drums. They put out their first album in 2004, calling it 'Vibe Charlie Brown' after the song that gave them some early attention.
That debut record had a straightforward, upbeat feel that connected with listeners, especially the title track. They followed it up a few years later with 'Apathy's Anthem,' which took a more serious turn, then returned to brighter territory on 2010's 'The Bright Side.'
Like a lot of bands, they dealt with internal disagreements and some legal trouble with their label over money. Quinn also had personal struggles that affected the group at times. They released a compilation called 'Nostalgia Trip' in 2014, which collected their work from the previous decade.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
