Qi.X.5 formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Tiago Leifert on vocals, Kiko Pinheiro and Marcelo Camelo on guitars, Amanda Grimaldi on bass, and Bruno Batista on drums. Their debut album 'Quatro Estações' came out in 2003 and included the song 'A Trilha,' which became widely known in Brazil.
They followed with albums like 'Indigente' in 2005 and 'A Coruja e o Gato' in 2009, which showed a shift toward more experimental material. Some listeners questioned this change from their earlier pop sound.
Another track, 'Direção,' appears among their top songs. The band toured in Brazil and internationally, and released 'Morada' in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
