Qkumba Zoo was a South African band that formed in the early 1990s. Their song "The Child Inside" became a hit after appearing on their 1995 debut album, The Eye of the Storm.
Their music mixed Zulu chants and marimbas with pop elements. The band's lineup included Brenda Fassie on vocals, Raymond Monama on guitar, and Nana Coyote on bass.
They toured internationally and sometimes drew attention for lyrics that touched on social issues. But most listeners knew them for that one track, which had a way of sticking in your head.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
