Qndrick is a Portuguese band from Lisbon that started playing in the late 2000s. Their first single, "Tás a Ver," got attention right away. The group has three members: Rui Maia sings and plays guitar, André Silva handles bass and vocals, and Ricardo Martins is on drums.
Their music mixes alternative rock with hip-hop, and sometimes touches on Portuguese sounds. The lyrics tend to be direct and personal, looking at things like relationships and everyday life. In 2012, one of their songs called "Júlia" was kept off the radio for being too explicit.
They've put out a handful of records since that first single, including albums like "Motim" in 2010 and "Aurora" in 2017.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
