Qu4rteto Fantástico formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, a Brazilian hip-hop group with MCs Lab Fantasma and Nocivo Shomon, DJ Hum, and beatmaker Nave. Their name translates to "Fantastic Four," a nod to the comic book heroes. They put out their first album, "Tamo Aí na Atividade," in 2004.
That debut included the track "Aulão," which caught on and helped them find a wider audience. Their music mixed hip-hop with funk and samba, and they kept recording through the decade, with albums like "Pequeno Manual do Homem Ordinário" in 2007 and "Meteu o Pé na Porta" in 2010.
Some of their lyrics touched on social issues, which drew criticism at times. They kept working, though, and later records like "Pesadão" and "Programa" came out in the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
