Qualm formed in London in 2009 around vocalist Anya Blackwood, guitarist Ethan James, bassist Max Carter, and drummer Daniel Anderson. Their debut single 'Downfall' came out in 2011, followed by the album 'Ashes of the Past.'
In 2017, guitarist Ethan James had to step away from the band due to a neurological disorder. They brought in a temporary replacement until James returned in 2019.
