Quarterflash formed in Portland, Oregon in 1980, led by singer-songwriter Marv Ross. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1981 and included the single 'Harden My Heart,' which became a hit. The band's lineup at that point featured guitarist Rick DiGiallonardo, bassist Rich Gooch, and drummer Brian David Willis.
They released several more albums through the 1980s, including 'Take Another Picture' in 1983 and 'Back Into Blue' in 1989. Their catalog includes songs like 'Right Kind Of Love' and 'Walking On Ice.'
Quarterflash had some legal disputes with their record label EMI, which complicated their career. They kept recording into the early 1990s, putting out 'Love Is a Road' in 1991.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
