Quarteto Harmonia Celeste formed in 1987 with four singers: Rosana, Áurea, Celso Adolfo, and Danilo. They worked as an all-vocal ensemble, which some found unconventional at the time. Their song "É Noite" became particularly well-known.
They released several albums in the 1990s and early 2000s, including their self-titled debut in 1990, "É Noite" in 1993, and "Alma Brasileira" in 1996. Other songs in their catalog include "Te Amo Jesus Cristo" and "Daniel."
The quartet's approach relied on vocal harmonies without instrumental backing. Their recordings and performances gradually built a following in Brazil, though they faced some skepticism early on about their style.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
