Quarteto Vaso formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, with brothers Gustavo and Álvaro Falcão joining cousins Renato and Fábio Gusman. They started playing together with an interest in Brazilian folk traditions and some urban influences.
Their 2001 debut album featured the song "Como Um Vaso," which became their most recognizable track. The group kept recording through the 2000s and into the 2010s, putting out albums like "Caixinha de Música," "Sonhar," and "Enquanto o Amor Existir."
They worked as a four-piece with Gustavo Falcão on lead vocals and guitar, Álvaro on bass, Renato on percussion, and Fábio on keyboards. The arrangement let them blend voices and instruments in a straightforward ensemble format.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
